The Journey of Intraco Group dates as far back as the British period in Kolkata. In the year 1969 ‘Hotel Agrabad’, the first 4-Star rated international hotel, was established in the port city of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Soon after, the founders of Hotel Agrabad invested in many other sectors like Real Estate, Shipping Lines, Cold Storage and Dhaka Yarn & Dying among them. 
Through the dynamic leadership of Mr. Mohammed Riyadh Ali, and the hard work and dedication of all staff members, these companies continued to grow up and in 1979 they were merged into a single group of companies and named INTRACO. For outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry as well as import and export, Intraco Group received several trophies and the ISO 9000:2001 certificate.
