About:

Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-governmental; non-political, non-profitable, and non-credit-making community development organization located in Ulipur Upazila (sub-district) under the Kurigram district of northern Bangladesh. It has been working with the most vulnerable people from the very beginning. Since its inception, MJSKS is working with disadvantaged, distressed, people with disabilities, and the extremely poor, especially focusing on chars and attached chars land with a high population density in different locations of the Kurigram, Gaibandha, Dinajpur, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, and Rangpur District where more than 80% of the people are directly depending on agriculture. But floods, river erosion, drought, and cold wave frequently damage or destroyed their crops, therefore they are more vulnerable.
At present MJSKS is implementing various types of projects in the field of Livelihood/Agriculture, Rights, Gender, Non-Formal Education, Market Development, WatSan, Health Hygiene & Nutrition, and Humanitarian Assistance in disaster.
MJSKS registered with the i) NGO Affairs Bureau-447/1991 ii) Social Welfare Department, Rangpur-70/69, iii) PADOR-BD-CJK-1606379911, date: 16-7-2009, iv) DUNS-Number 731575499.
MJSKS carries out multidimensional program initiatives in five thematic areas: a) Livelihood, b) Empowerment, c) Health and Nutrition d) Governance and e) Humanitarian Assistance.
