About:

The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.  The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes.  Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (VAM) unit of the United Nations World Food Programme Bangladesh is playing a critical role in meeting the humanitarian needs of Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox's Bazar. The VAM unit undertakes evidence-based food security analysis to inform programmatic decisions, for WFP and the Food Security Sector partners. To effectively support its activities, the unit intends to recruit a VAM Assistant (mVAM) to support its food and nutrition security assessments and surveillance, and markets and livelihood analysis.
